The 2-Week Reality
Two weeks is enough time to significantly improve your CELPIP score — if you use every day strategically. This plan assumes you can dedicate 45–60 minutes per day (realistic for working adults).
Ground rule: This is not a crash course. It's a focused skill-building plan. You're not trying to learn English in 2 weeks — you're training specific test skills that unlock the score your English level already supports.
Week 1 — Foundation (Skills Focus)
Day 1 (Listening): Take a practice listening test. Identify your 2 weakest parts. Review the note-taking system. Practice at 1.25x speed for 10 min.
Day 2 (Reading): Take a practice reading test. Time each part. Did you run out of time anywhere? Practice skimming and scanning for 15 min with news articles.
Day 3 (Writing): Write one Task 1 email (27 min) and one Task 2 survey response (26 min). Self-review using the proofreading checklist. Note your grammar patterns.
Day 4 (Speaking): Record yourself on 4 different task types. Listen back. Count fillers. Note where you stopped early or rambled.
Day 5 (Listening + Reading): Focus on your identified weak parts. Do targeted practice for 30 min per section. Review mistakes.
Day 6 (Writing + Speaking): Write 1 Task 2 response focusing on connectors. Record 3 speaking responses focusing on the 3-point outline.
Day 7 (Rest + Light Review): Review your error log from the week. Watch 2–3 CELPIP tip videos. No intense practice — let your brain consolidate.
Week 2 — Sharpening (Test Simulation)
Day 8 (Full Listening Practice): Complete a full listening practice test under real conditions. Review every wrong answer. Why did you miss it?
Day 9 (Full Reading Practice): Complete a full reading practice test. Focus on time management. Practice the skip-and-return strategy.
Day 10 (Full Writing Practice): Write both tasks under strict time limits. Proofread using the checklist. Focus on your top 3 grammar errors from Week 1.
Day 11 (Full Speaking Practice): Record all 8 task types. Use prep time properly. Focus on power phrases and filling time.
Day 12 (Weakness Day): Spend the entire session on your single weakest section. Do targeted drills on your specific problem areas.
Day 13 (Mock Test): If possible, do a full mock test (all 4 sections, real timing). This is your dress rehearsal. Note your energy level and when you feel tired.
Day 14 (Rest + Prep): Light review only. Watch 1 motivational CELPIP video. Prepare your ID and confirmation. Go to bed early. No cramming.
Daily Routine Template
Each 45-minute session:
| Time | Activity | |---|---| | 0–5 min | Warm-up: speed-listen to English podcast | | 5–35 min | Main practice (section of the day) | | 35–40 min | Review mistakes and note patterns | | 40–45 min | Plan tomorrow's focus |
Key principles: - Never practice more than 90 minutes in a single day — diminishing returns - Always review mistakes (this is where actual learning happens) - Alternate between sections to prevent fatigue - The rest day (Day 7) is not optional — your brain needs consolidation time
