โ๏ธ Writing & ๐๏ธ Speaking Scores
Writing and Speaking are scored by certified human raters on the 1โ12 scale using four criteria: Content, Coherence, Vocabulary, and Task Fulfillment. Because scoring is holistic and rater-based, there is no direct raw-score conversion table. Focus your practice on writing clearly, staying on topic, and using varied vocabulary.
How the Overall CELPIP Score Works
- Each component (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) is scored on a 1โ12 scale.
- There is no single combined score โ programs specify per-component minimums.
- Express Entry commonly requires CLB 7 (CELPIP 7) in all four components.
- Canadian citizenship typically requires CLB 4 in Listening and Reading (CELPIP 4).
