Part 2 uses everyday conversation - the type of English you process automatically. At CLB 10, this part should cost you zero mental effort. It's 5 free marks that you collect on the way to the challenging parts.

Efficient Execution

1. Preview questions - scan all 5 in under 10 seconds
2. Listen naturally - don't strain, don't take notes unless numbers appear
3. Answer within 10 seconds per question - the answer should be obvious
4. Don't review - trust your comprehension and move on

Target: complete Part 2 with maximum cognitive reserves intact for Parts 4–6.

The Only Risk: Carelessness

At CLB 10, the only way to lose marks on Part 2 is carelessness:

• Misreading the question: The question asks "Why does she NOT want to go?" but you answer as if it asks why she wants to go
• Clicking the wrong option: Double-check you selected what you intended
• Zoning out: Even easy parts require active listening. Don't let your mind wander.
